The Gippsland Symphony Orchestra welcomes musicians from across the region who are looking to play high quality orchestral repertoire in a supportive, community-based environment.
Who can join? We welcome non-professional musicians of all ages who play orchestral instruments. Whether you've been playing for years or are returning to your instrument after a break, we'd love to hear from you. The orchestra performs a broad repertoire spanning the Baroque through to contemporary Australian works, so there's always something challenging and rewarding to work on.
Rehearsals are held weekly at two locations:
Combined rehearsals are scheduled prior to each concert. Members are welcome to attend at either location.
Potential members are encouraged to get in touch. You're welcome to come along to a rehearsal to see if the orchestra is the right fit for you.
